Hi, I’m Judy! I started beekeeping in 2019 when my significant other, Chris, decided it was something he wanted to do. His Great-Grandfather was a beekeeper, and so was my Great-Uncle. After the first season, he decided it wasn’t for him and I dove in. I started building my woodenware, perhaps due to my tendency to be frugal, and enjoyment of building things. Starting with two colonies in season one, I grew to over 30 by the end of season seven. Prior to my beekeeping journey, I enjoyed landscaping the properties that we lived at. We grew many annual & perennial flowers and vegetables. I found I want to do more. In the Summer of 2025 we purchased a new home with over five acres, where I will start a lavender farm and some annual & perennial cut flowers.
