Beginning Beekeeping

Hi, I’m Judy! I started beekeeping in 2019 when my significant other, Chris, decided it was something he wanted to do. His Great-Grandfather was a beekeeper, and so was my Great-Uncle. After the first season, he decided it wasn’t for him and I dove in. I started building my woodenware, perhaps due to my tendency to be frugal, and enjoyment of building things. Starting with two colonies in season one, I grew to over 30 by the end of season seven. Prior to my beekeeping journey, I enjoyed landscaping the properties that we lived at. We grew many annual & perennial flowers and vegetables. I found I want to do more. In the Summer of 2025 we purchased a new home with over five acres, where I will start a lavender farm and some annual & perennial cut flowers.

My family has been purchasing JT’s honey for two years and will no longer purchase any other type of honey. JT’s honey is the best tasting around. When we start getting low we start to panic and place another order immediately and Judy provides the gold!!!!
Customer service is exceptional -
Also check out her flowers!!

We had a baptism party at our home and JT’s provided the most beautiful floral arrangements!! We were so proud of how our tables looked because of the flowers. The service and kindness was second to none! We were able to gift several of the arrangements to guests and they were so excited to receive them. Thank you!!!!

Beautiful flowers. Tasty honey and good people. Very productive bees if you’re looking to add a hive to your life.
