First farm update for 2026! We’re letting mother nature show us where all the challenges will be and they are ABUNDANT! In early March we received nearly 3″ of rain in about three days. We know that our soil is clay, which doesn’t drain well. We later found that the area planned for the farm is in a flood zone. Our home is not, so it was not brought to our attention when we purchased last year. It will be a challenge to use this part of the property, but a plan is brewing. Here are some pictures of the beginning stages of field prep and what mother nature let us know.
